ASUS unveiled its new gaming laptops at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Here's what we know about them:

ASUS TUF Gaming A16 Advanced Edition

The screen is frameless and has a diagonal of 16 inches. The screen-to-body ratio is quite high - as much as 90 percent.

The model comes with two different panels. The better one has a QHD resolution and a refresh rate of 240Hz. It has full coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

However, the other panel is also very capable. It has FHD resolution and a refresh rate of 165Hz. The display has 100% coverage of the sRGB color gamut.

Both options can be used by digital artists and for video and photo manipulation.

The ASUS TUF Gaming A16 Advanced Edition is equipped with AMD's latest Ryzen 9 processor, which is based on the Zen 4 architecture.

The video card is AMD Radeon RX 7700S with 8GB GDDR6 video memory. It is quite a bit more powerful than Nvidia's RTX 3060.

TUF Gaming A16 Advanced Edition comes with up to 2TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD and up to 32GB DDR5 4800MHz RAM memory.

The TUG Gaming F15/F17 and TUF Gaming A15/A17 series

Along with the TUF Gaming A16 Advanced Edition, the brand also presented four new models. These include the TUG Gaming F15/F17 and TUF Gaming A15/A17 laptops.

The F15 and F17 are equipped with an Intel Core i9-13900H processor, while the TUF Gaming A15/A17 is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 9 Zen 4 processor.

All four machines come with Nvidia's latest RTX 4000 series graphics cards. Thanks to the new RTX GPUs, buyers get access to DLSS 3.0 technology for smoother gameplay at higher resolutions. 

All four machines come with a big improvement in cooling.

ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 16 и SCAR 18

Both models come with a light strip and an AURA SYNC RGB keyboard where every single key can be customized.

As the name implies, the two laptops sport 16-inch and 18-inch Mini-LED panels with 16:10 aspect ratios, respectively. have QHD+ resolution (22560×1600), 240 Hz refresh rate and 3 ms response time. In addition, the Mini-LED displays cover 100% of the DCI-P3 color space and have a maximum brightness of 1100 nits. 

The screens are so good they are Pantone certified. This means that the SCAR 16 and SCAR 18 are top laptops for graphic designers and professionals.

The top version of both models has a Core i9-13980HX processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 with Advanced Optimus.

Other notable hardware specifications include a maximum of 4 TB (2TB + 2TB) Raid 0 PCIe 4.0 memory and up to 64 GB DDR5 4800 MHz RAM memory.

Both the 2023 ROG Strix SCAR 16 and SCAR 18 have Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity.

ASUS ROG Strix G17 (2023)

ASUS ROG Strix G17 gaming laptops come with the latest AMD Zen 4 - Ryzen 9 7945HX mobile processors. The video card is Nvidia RTX 4070 with 8 GB GDDR6 VRAM.

The screen is also more than perfect. It has a diagonal of 17.3 inches and a QHD resolution. The refresh rate is 240 Hz and the response time is 3 ms. The screen has 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut and can be used by graphic designers and professional photographers.

The maximum RAM capacity is 32 GB DDR5-4800, and the internal space can be up to 2 TB and relies on fast SSDs.

The keyboard has 4-zone RGB backlighting.

Asus has not yet announced how much the new models cost. Our expectations are that the ASUS ROG Strix G17 (2023) will offer the optimal ratio between parameters and price.
